A great way to see Pulau Langkawi's many attractions is to rent a car and drive from place to place at one's own leisure. Car hire is reasonably priced and the island is linked by a network of pleasant roads with ample signages.
A great place to start your sightseeing tour is to begin at Kuah town itself, where the tourist information centre is based (next to the town's mosque). Grab all the brochures and maps which you may need and you're ready to go.
Within the vicinity of the jetty and the tourist information center is the harbourside's parklands which houses the Dataran Lang and Lagenda Park - the former a landscaped square with a concrete statue of the Langkawi eagle and the latter a 20-hectare park commemorating the island's legends in sculptural form.

There are still quite a few supertankers in service, although the largest one built to date has been scrapped. At 1504 feet or 458.5 meters, the Knock Nevis was considered the largest functional ship to ever be built. Naturally, over the years many shipbuilders have considered that tankers of such size might not be as financially viable as tankers that are smaller, built with more safety features, and require less fuel to propel.

Rebecca hung upside down from the seatbelt in her Nissan Sentra. The roof was now the floor and her long brown hair trailed along the fabric. She had no idea how long she had been hanging upside down, but the blood was pounding loudly in her ears. Rebecca found that she was unable to move except for her neck. She turned her head to the left and found herself staring eyeball to eyeball with a pair of startled blue eyes. She strained to see more, but could only tell there was a young man outside her car who also appeared to be suspended upside down, but without the confines of a seatbelt to hold him there.
“Uh… hello there. I’m Jason” he said, a bit stunned.

So Google buys YouTube for $1.6B in stock and cash and suddenly the world wakes up. The result, hundreds of new entries into the funny video, video sharing and music video marketplace. I have heard many complaints about the sudden influx of content sites. To them I say, “shut it!”. There can NEVER be enough content on the web. It is what the internet was born to do (aside from ubiquitous communication of course).
