Okay, I will admit I’m a little perturb this morning. I read an article this morning stating that a school is having a board meeting sometime this week regarding making a policy about their students HAVING to cover up their tattoos. However, there is some sweet justice to this it seems that the principle of the school doesn’t necessarily have a problem with his students having these tattoos, as long as they are not vulgar or obscene images. He stated that the decision for his students to have tattoos are up to the student and their parents not him. It was stated in this article that tattoos can fall under the dress code and if something is considered disruptive then the principle can take any kind of action he wishes.

If you live in the United States you are probably aware that the legal age for someone to get a tattoo is 18 years old. Well I actually didn’t really give this any thought until I was checking out the tattoo news for today. But apparently in Sweden there is no age limit for someone to get a tattoo. But this could change in the future. Due to some parents of underage (kids under 18) beingfurious about their children coming home with tattoos. One mother went so far as to calling the police. But there is not a law specifying a person has to be to get a tattoo. Here’s what a policeman had to say about that complaint.

As a tattoo lover I know that there are good and bad things that come with having a tattoo. One of the bad things is, some people still look down on people if they are inked then they think they are less of a person or are a “hellrasier?.One of the goods things is that if something ever happened to me my husband and or parents could identify me better because of my tattoos. But having a distinctive tattoo can also come back and bite you in the butt as well.

The internet can be held responsible for many big changes in our lives and perspective. One of the big changes that the internet brought is the descending of big music labels power and the increase in Indie artist number.
The crashing of so many big music labels has started the Indie musician’s movement.
It’s really a movement, but I refer to it this way because I look at it as a way of beating the system and the big giants that used to tell music artists what to do and used to take almost all of these artists money. They still exist, but the internet and the illegal downloading phenomenon has made them smaller and made the artists realize that maybe taking unreasonable fee on their CD is not a smart thing to do, and maybe performing more can bring them more money and also maybe, just maybe, they can record their own music and make it on their own.

Addictive behavior in parents often begets addictive behavior in their offspring. According to Nakken (1988), if a child grows up in a family in which one parent is an addict, the child is likely to develop an addiction. If both parents are addicts, the child’s chances of addiction increases. Subsequently, the generational cycle of addiction continues. When adult children of addicts seek relationships, it is usually with people who are similar. This search doesn’t happen on a conscious level–it is unconscious.
Adolescents usually live for the moment. Practicing addicts are also living for the moment, using emotional logic. Emotionally, addicts act like adolescents and are often described as adolescent in behavior and attitude. After all, many issues that they struggle with are the same issues that face adolescents. The difference is that addicts stay trapped in an adolescent stage as long as their disease in progress.

If someone gave your child a drum for Christmas would you be pleased? I suspect not but the giver may know a thing or two that you don’t. Drumming with your offspring can bring about new levels of communication between you and take you both on an exciting journey of exploration and discovery. Our feeling for rhythm starts early. Babies have been exposed to the beat of their mothers heart since conception.
Early music education has been shown to lead to better results in Reading, Math, Social Skills and Hand Eye co-ordination. Music stimulates all eight centres of the brain at the same time. Pat Gesualdo, who is himself severely dyslexic, has discovered that learning disabilities such as dyslexia and Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) can be greatly helped through drumming. His method involves isolating each part of the rhythm which is then taught separately. When the student can reproduce each part of the rhythm they are then all combined.
